Traveling Girl

I am so pleased to announce that Thoughts of Elberta was selected from the Pastel Society of America’s Enduring Brilliance Exhibition to travel to the Butler Institute of American Art to be on view December 2014 through February 2015. I am so grateful to Courtney (my lovely model and art student) and her family for sharing their wonderful story with me, so that I could depict a bit of it in this painting. I am also grateful to the Portrait Society of America and the Pastel Society of America for giving me the opportunity to exhibit the painting and share it with so many. And I am grateful for the nudge of a great and awesome God that said “There…paint that.”

Thanks Alix. Wish you could travel to Georgetown, TX for my workshop. It will be fun with the portrait exhibition hanging at the same time.
